A Coin Is Already Up 40%. Is It Still Worth Buying?

When I see a coin up 30% or 40% on Binance Futures, my first thought isn’t “I should buy it.”

It’s “What am I getting into now?”

A strong move can attract attention quickly, but buying after a big candle means I may be entering when early buyers are already thinking about taking profit.

I prefer to slow down and check a few things:

- Is the price holding above its previous breakout?
- Does volume remain strong during the pullback?
- Is there a clear support area nearby?
- Am I entering because of a setup, or simply because I’m afraid of missing out?

If price pulls back and buyers defend support, I may watch for a fresh breakout. If support fails and price cannot recover, I stay cautious.

There’s no need to catch every move. Sometimes protecting your capital is the better decision.
