📉 October was supposed to be Bitcoin’s “month of gains,” but this year it could end lower for the second year in a row!
🔥 Data from Yahoo/CoinGlass:
• October’s historical average gain is about 18.3%, with a median of around 12.7%
• BTC is down more than 2% so far in October 2026
• After last October 10’s crash, another down month this year would mark the first time in over a decade that BTC has fallen in two consecutive Octobers
• Bankless co-founder called this week the third week of “Downtober”
📊 Current snapshot: BTC is around $81K, the Fear & Greed Index is at 55 (leaning toward greed), and BTC and ETH spot ETFs saw combined net outflows of about $152 million on Friday.
🧠 My take: Historical seasonality isn’t a guarantee; macro is still the main driver—inflation data, rate-hike expectations, and a strengthening dollar are all weighing on risk assets. $80K is near-term psychological support, with $82.5K as resistance.
