+103.87% ON MY SHORT OF
$DEEP : WHAT’S BEHIND THIS TRADE?
#DEEP $DEEP A green figure can grab a lot of attention, but as a futures trader, I know that what really matters is understanding what the market is doing.
Today I’m sharing one of my real trades in DEEPUSDT Perpetual, using 7x leverage.
📊 My position details in the screenshot:
🔴 Direction: SHORT
🎯 Entry price: 0.0191100 USDT
📉 Observed price: 0.0166400 USDT
💰 Return shown: +103.87%
This return corresponds to the moment the screenshot was taken. It does not represent a realized gain or confirm that the trade has been closed.
🔎 What does the chart show?
DEEP has a long-term bearish structure. On the weekly chart, the price was below the Bollinger mid-band and the SuperTrend.
Additionally, the screenshot showed a 9.12% drop over the previous 24 hours.
But keep in mind: that drop in the asset’s price does NOT mean DEEP lost 103.87%. The percentage on my position is different because leverage amplifies price movements.
⚠️ My thoughts as a trader
Being on the right side of a move is important, but protecting capital is essential.
Even after a considerable drop, an asset can experience violent rebounds. In futures, those moves can quickly reduce floating returns and even trigger liquidations.
After years of trading, there’s one thing I always keep in mind:
“Everything that goes up must come down, but not everything that falls has to rise.”
The data shared corresponds to screenshots from October 24, 2026. These are not real-time quotes.
💬 Here’s my question: when a trade shows a return of more than 100%, would you rather secure the gains or hold on in search of a bigger move?
Discipline also means recognizing the risks when the numbers are in our favor.
