BUILDER’S NOTE 005 The best founders don’t just protect their time. They protect their attention. In Web3, it is easy to spend the whole day “working” without moving the most important thing forward. Telegram notifications. X debates. Investor DMs. Partnership calls. AMAs. “Quick” meetings. Then night comes and you ask: What did I actually accomplish today? That’s the hidden cost of fragmented attention. Your calendar doesn’t just show how busy you are. It shows what has access to your mind. And when attention is fragmented, execution usually follows. Look at @ethereum. On September 7, Ethereum’s Protocol cluster published its priorities after evaluating 62 proposed EIPs for Hegotá, involving roughly 60 researchers and engineers. Ethereum has no shortage of things it could work on. The real advantage is deciding: What deserves concentrated attention now? That is a growth principle every founder should understand. The Attention Architecture • Audit your week: Separate deep work, meetings and reactive communication. • Protect deep work: Two focused hours daily gives you 10 hours of protected execution every week. • Don’t confuse visibility with progress: Another AMA, Space or partnership announcement doesn’t automatically mean growth. • Go async first: Not every update requires a meeting. Document decisions, priorities and ownership. • Protect decision bandwidth: If every decision needs the founder, the founder becomes the bottleneck. As a Growth Strategist, I keep coming back to one principle: Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about concentrating effort where it compounds. Your attention is a treasury. Every unnecessary interruption is a withdrawal. In Web3, the noise is infinite. The signal is scarce. Protect your attention. Protect your execution. Build what matters. ✍️ MMYamusa #BuildersNote #Web3 #BinanceSquare #GrowthStrategy
BUILDER’S NOTE 005

The best founders don’t just protect their time. They protect their attention.

In Web3, it is easy to spend the whole day “working” without moving the most important thing forward.

Telegram notifications.
X debates.
Investor DMs.
Partnership calls.
AMAs.
“Quick” meetings.

Then night comes and you ask:

What did I actually accomplish today?

That’s the hidden cost of fragmented attention.

Your calendar doesn’t just show how busy you are.

It shows what has access to your mind.

And when attention is fragmented, execution usually follows.

Look at @ethereum.

On September 7, Ethereum’s Protocol cluster published its priorities after evaluating 62 proposed EIPs for Hegotá, involving roughly 60 researchers and engineers.

Ethereum has no shortage of things it could work on.

The real advantage is deciding:

What deserves concentrated attention now?

That is a growth principle every founder should understand.

The Attention Architecture

• Audit your week: Separate deep work, meetings and reactive communication.

As a Growth Strategist, I keep coming back to one principle:

Growth isn’t about doing more.
It’s about concentrating effort where it compounds.

Your attention is a treasury.

Every unnecessary interruption is a withdrawal.

In Web3, the noise is infinite.

The signal is scarce.

Protect your attention.
Protect your execution.
Build what matters.
