The Pizza Guy is the most misunderstood person in #比特币 history.
Everyone knows Laszlo bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC in 2010.
Almost nobody knows what else he did that year.
He got Bitcoin mining running on graphics cards—a single NVIDIA 8800 GTS—and released the first usable GPU miner on Earth.
Before that, everyone mined with CPUs. His setup was so far ahead that Satoshi Nakamoto personally emailed him to slow down, because GPUs were concentrating new coins in too few hands.
Back then, every block paid 50 BTC every ten minutes.
The only man with working GPU hardware could have stockpiled 100,000+ coins before anyone else caught up. He probably did.
So those pizzas were bought with coins he had mined himself, and they proved that Bitcoin could buy real things.
The kind of chip he pointed Bitcoin toward in 2010 is the same kind used today to train every AI model.

As a #crypto enthusiast, may I ask an interesting technical question? Why are storage capacities always like this: 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 GB? Why not 150 GB, 230 GB, or 300 GB? Is there a technical reason for this, or is it just a marketing strategy?
