MACD➡️ stands for Moving Average Convergence Divergence, and it is one of the most widely used technical indicators in trading (stocks, forex, crypto). It helps traders identify trend direction, momentum, and potential buy or sell signals.

💁🏻‍♂️ What is MACD?
MACD is a momentum and trend-following indicator created using moving averages of price.
It shows how two moving averages move relative to each other.
It has three components:
1. MACD Line
👉 Formula.
MACD Line = 12-period EMA − 26-period EMA
👉 This tells you if short-term momentum is stronger or weaker than long-term momentum.
2. Signal Line
👉 Formula.
Signal Line = 9-period EMA of the MACD Line
👉 Helps generate buy/sell signals.
3. Histogram
👉 Formula.
Histogram = MACD Line − Signal Line
👉 Shows strength of momentum bars above or below zero.

(A) Convergence vs Divergence
👉 Convergence: EMAs move closer → momentum weakening.
👉 Divergence: EMAs move apart → momentum increasing.
(B) Zero Line
👉 MACD above zero ⬆️ uptrend momentum.
👉 MACD below zero ⬇️ downtrend momentum.
