31.2% of Bitcoin’s total supply, around 6.26 million $BTC sits in addresses with exposed public keys, according to Glassnode co-founder Rafael.
This comes after Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake urged the crypto industry to prepare for “bunker mode” due to potential quantum computing threats.
Now this is becoming a new FUD narrative, creating panic across the market.
Exposed public keys do not mean those BTC have been hacked or can be stolen today. No practical quantum attack capable of breaking Bitcoin’s cryptography has been demonstrated.
The risk deserves attention, but confusing long term threats with an immediate danger only creates unnecessary panic.
Everyone here is saying: we are done with the pump. The bull run is over. Buyers are trapped.
Meanwhile, when I look at the charts, I see nothing that resembles a bull run. In fact I don’t think it has even started yet.
And I don’t see trapped buyers. I see sellers celebrating a minor dip while we are still at the bottom!
This dip i buy, next dip i buy more. I stay patient and wait for the bulls to take over and when all bears finally accept they were wrong. I take my profit and exit the market ;)
I think Q4 of 2026 and Q1 of 2027 is going to be mega bullish and i stay on that :)
I will exit market in between only with my profits
No stop loss. No proper position sizing. Moving your stop when the trade goes against you. Averaging down just because you don’t want to accept the loss.
That’s how one bad trade turns into a portfolio-damaging trade.
The math gets brutal:
10% loss → 11% gain to recover. 50% loss → 100% gain to recover. 80% loss → 400% gain to recover.
And no, the answer isn’t using an insanely tight stop either. A stop that sits inside normal market noise can get hit before the move even starts.
∆ How to fix: Risk a fixed % per trade and set simple trading guardrails.
Risk 1–2% of your account per trade and size your position around your stop.
For example, with a $10,000 account and 1% risk, your maximum loss is $100.
Your stop should sit where the setup is invalidated, not at a random percentage.
Aim for at least 1:2 R. If you risk $100, target $200. That means you can lose 2 trades and win 1 while still being roughly break-even before fees.
Also set a daily loss limit, avoid stacking correlated trades, and journal your setups.
Protecting your capital gives your edge enough time to work.
∆ The market isn't rigged.
You don't need a perfect strategy to make it in trading. You need a decent edge, proper risk management, and enough discipline to stay in the game.
One bad trade doesn't define you. The goal is to learn, improve, and come back better prepared for the next setup.
Survive. Learn. Compound.
Which mistake cost you the most? Reply 1, 2, or 3.
You see a coin up 80% and the timeline screaming "still early." FOMO kicks in and you buy the top.
You're entering far from support, at the top of the move, with a wide stop or none.
Your risk/reward is already bad before the trade even starts.
∆ How to fix: Enter on confluence, not emotion.
Before any entry, check:
- Higher timeframe trend - Key support/resistance or demand zone - Volume confirmation - RSI not overbought (or bearish divergence) - Pullback to the 20/50 EMA or VWAP
Also check funding, open interest, liquidity and upcoming token unlocks. If the trade only looks attractive because everyone is already talking about it, you’re probably late.
Let the price come to your level.
Set a rule for yourself: No setup = No trade.
🚨Mistake #2: Scalping alts with high leverage.
You may think that you will catch the movement on time and just make money in minutes.
So you go 50x long on an altcoin.
You can be completely right about the direction and still lose the trade because your position is too big.
At 50x leverage, roughly a 2% move against you can wipe out your margin completely.
That sounds like a lot until you trade alts. A 2–5% wick can happen in minutes, especially when liquidity is thin.
We’ve seen liquidation cascades wipe out billions in hours.
The problem wasn’t always the analysis. A lot of traders simply had too much size and no room for the trade to breathe.
∆ How to fix: Control leverage and stop placement.
- Use isolated margin - Keep leverage at 5-8x maximum on altcoins - Your liquidation price should sit well beyond your stop - Place stops outside normal noise (1.5-2x ATR) - Avoid fresh entries right before CPI or FOMC
Leverage is a tool; don't make it your strategy.
A simple fix can save you more money than 20 careless trades ever will.
