SOL Strategies Acquires HoudiniSwap for $18 Million
Digital asset infrastructure company SOL Strategies has announced the completion of its acquisition of the non-custodial cross-chain swap aggregation protocol, HoudiniSwap, for a total of $18 million. According to Foresight News, the acquisition was first disclosed on May 4, 2026.
The terms of the deal include an initial payment of $7 million in cash and $4 million in common stock, totaling 2,812,301 shares, at the time of closing. An additional $5.75 million will be paid in cash by December 1, 2026. Furthermore, a compensation of $1.25 million will be distributed over 18 months, along with a performance-based earnout of up to $10 million over two years. The cash portion of the acquisition was financed through a decentralized finance protocol on the Solana blockchain, without utilizing SOL's treasury.
