One thing I didn't fully appreciate about Bedrock at first was how much of DeFi is really a coordination problem disguised as a technology problem.
When people talk about protocols, it's easy to imagine everything moving together as one system. In reality, that's rarely what happens. Different protocols update at different speeds, incentives change on different timelines, liquidity moves unpredictably, and users react based on information that isn't always arriving at the same moment.
The more I looked at Bedrock, the more I found myself thinking about this synchronization challenge.
A lot of infrastructure works in environments where the participants are technically connected but behaviorally out of sync. One protocol adjusts incentives. Another attracts liquidity. Users respond days later. Markets react even faster. What looks connected on paper often behaves very differently in practice.
That's why I think the interesting part isn't simply how Bedrock connects assets and opportunities. It's how it operates in an ecosystem where timing itself becomes a source of friction.
An asset can be productive. Liquidity can be available. Opportunities can exist. Yet if different parts of the system aren't moving with some level of coordination, efficiency starts leaking away.
I keep wondering whether the next challenge for DeFi is no longer building more infrastructure, but helping existing infrastructure work together more effectively.
