$HYPE Coin Challenging Solana & ETH to the Moon!
Last month, I was scrolling crypto forums late at night around 2 a.m. and found a new coin called $HYPE. It looked interesting - maybe strong enough to compete with Solana and Ethereum (ETH). I didn’t tell anyone at first, but here’s what I found from my own research 🤫
$HYPE’s blockchain is very quick, especially for trading. It works faster than ETH (which is quite slow), and sometimes even beats Solana in DeFi trades. I tested it with small amounts, and it worked smoothly.
$HYPE has very cheap fees. Around 97% of fees are used to buy back its own tokens, so it also becomes deflationary. ETH’s gas fees are expensive, and Solana fees go up during hype. I saved money on my test.
I saw $HYPE reach the top 11 on CoinMarketCap, with a market cap of $16.86 billion. That shows strong investor interest - even though Solana and ETH have bigger market caps, their growth is slower.
ETH is known for being truly decentralized, which is great. But $HYPE also feels friendly for developers - with things like precompiles and airdrops. Solana feels more controlled by big investors. I liked keeping $HYPE in my wallet.
I swapped some SOL for $HYPE at $26 in Dec 2024, and now it’s at $50. Its market cap is still small compared to Solana or ETH (which are worth crores or lakhs of crores), but $HYPE supports EVM and focuses on DeFi - so it may grow a lot.
I once got tricked by a fake $HYPE wallet. Also, some say it’s not fully decentralized. And if big players like Coinbase don’t support it, that could be a problem. ETH still feels safer in comparison.
After my late-night crypto deep dives, I feel $HYPE is better than Solana in terms of speed, fees, and rankings. For DeFi, it’s also ahead of ETH. But since it’s still small and has some centralization concerns, it’s not the number one yet. I moved 20% of my portfolio into it. It’s a risky move—but if more people start using it, it could rise fast 🤫
