🗣Hello, everyone. In crypto—in the Web3 world—I think one of the most important things is not just spotting opportunities, but also understanding the risks we take and acting responsibly.

🧙Over the years, I’ve seen that when prices are rising, everyone thinks about making a profit. But when things take a turn, the importance of risk management becomes clear. When I research a project or a coin, instead of asking, “How much can I make?”, I first ask, “What are the risks here?” Then I take precautions accordingly.

🗣Today I want to talk about a very important topic with you. As you know, in Web3, control is also our responsibility.

🧙I’d like to briefly touch on what DeFi means, my friends. DeFi, that is, decentralized finance, actually allows us to trade in the crypto world without needing intermediaries like banks. That means we can buy and sell crypto through our own wallet, take out loans, or lend.

🧙On the DeFi side, sometimes we take serious risks without even realizing it. Especially the apps we connect our wallet to, and the approvals we give without reading what they are—these can put our assets in danger. Let me give an example from myself. When I make a transaction in my Web3 wallet and my business is done, I revoke the permissions I granted. Because when you made that transaction, it initially asked for permissions. If you don’t remove those permissions once the transaction is finished… it can create a security vulnerability, friends. In Web3, we call this permission removal “Revoke,” friends. I’m writing the term meaning below. Make sure both you apply this and the word becomes familiar to your ear.

🧐Revoke means canceling the permissions we previously gave to an application or smart contract from our crypto wallet.

🔸When creating a wallet, the recovery words we call a seed phrase—consisting of 12 or 24 words—must be stored carefully and must never be shared with anyone. Make sure you store it securely, friends.

🔸Before connecting your wallet to dApps you don’t know, be sure to do research. Get into the habit of not trusting every link that comes your way.

🔸Always read the permissions you grant to smart contracts. Especially watch out for unlimited spending approvals. Make sure the project or application you’re granting permission to is legitimate and trustworthy.

🔸Regularly review the permissions of protocols you don’t use and revoke anything unnecessary. Also, when sending money to an address, pay attention to the last four digits of the address—copy it and check the last four digits of the one you paste afterward—make sure you don’t send it to the wrong address or fall for baiting/phishing.

🧙After strong PMI data, the 10-year US Treasury yield rose to around 5.11%. As yields rise, the appeal of risk-free returns increases, and appetite for risky assets like crypto fades.

🔸Bitcoin fell from $87k to below $84k.
🔸Ethereum tested the $2,700 level.
🔸Long liquidations accelerated the decline.
🔸Despite this, demand hasn’t completely vanished in spot Bitcoin ETFs.

🗣Hi friends. #An important decision has been made by the SPK regarding the fund market.

🔸Here, the word “liquidation” may be a bit confusing. I’ll explain it briefly and simply.

✅In the SPK’s decision, there are actually two separate matters:

🔸All investment funds established by Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1 Capital, Pardus, and Bulls Portföy and traded on TEFAS have been closed to trading in terms of both buying and selling.

🔸In addition, it was decided that 130 funds whose names are listed one by one in the bulletin will be liquidated using a method determined by the SPK. So the key point is this: for each fund that is closed to trading, there is not an immediate liquidation decision. The funds to be liquidated are listed separately.

✅So what does it mean for a fund to be liquidated?

🔸Liquidation simply refers to the process of ending the fund’s activities. In general, the assets the fund holds are converted into cash during the process; obligations and the required transactions are completed; and the remaining amount is distributed according to the units investors hold.

🔸So, saying that the fund was liquidated = the investor’s money becomes zero is not correct. However, the amount that will reach the investor will be paid out. The value and liquidity of the assets in the fund’s portfolio and what happens during the liquidation process will affect the final payout.

🔸The most critical issue here is the method and the timeline. In the SPK decision, it states that the liquidation will be carried out using a method to be determined by the Board. Therefore, we need to wait for new official announcements about exactly when and through which process the money will be returned to investors.

🗣Hello friends. The US August CPI data was just released.

🇺🇸 CPI was announced as +0.4% month-on-month and +3.4% year-on-year.

🇺🇸 Core CPI was announced as +0.3% month-on-month and +2.4% year-on-year.

⛽️The striking part of the data was again the energy front. Gasoline prices rose 3.9% month-on-month, and the energy item rose 2.1%.

🧙In my opinion, we should read the table like this, friends. CPI is in line with expectations, but the rise in energy prices continues to keep inflation warm. On the core side, a monthly figure of 0.3% also shows that price pressures have not completely disappeared.

🧙So, we don’t have a bad enough dataset to make you say that inflation has gotten out of control, but I’d also say it’s not cold enough to let the Fed feel comfortable.

🧙Especially if oil and energy prices continue to stay high, the inflation–interest rate debate may come back into focus more in the coming months.

🧙Now the main issue is how the market will price this data and how interest rate expectations will change ahead of the Fed’s September 15–16 meeting.
