Free Agent NFTs on BNB Chain: I only mint under these three rules
Lately, quite a few NFTs on BNB Chain have popped up that require an Agent ID to mint, such as Synth Ape, HashDroids, Goofy, and Ptah Proof of Agent. I tried minting a batch with the .ai Agent ID from Binance Agentic Wallet, and came up with three rules of my own:
1️⃣ Only mint for free. I’ll pay Gas, but I skip anything that charges a mint fee.
2️⃣ Check the simulated Gas first. A normal on-chain mint on $BNB costs very little Gas. If the simulation shows a noticeably higher amount (my benchmark is more than 0.0001 BNB for a single mint), I walk away.
3️⃣ Only trust official contracts. Go through the project’s official X account or website and verify the contract address. Don’t click “free mint” links forwarded in DMs or group chats.
Honestly, most of these NFTs don’t have a mature secondary market, and the floor price could be zero. I see this as a low-cost way to explore the Agent ecosystem, not a money-making tool. Gas, time, and authorization risks all come at a cost.
