One QR code, multiple payment networks. That’s the idea behind the new X9.150 payment standard demonstrated by Matera, Payfinia, and the Solana Foundation at Money20/20 USA.
The standard allows businesses to accept payments through bank transfers, FedNow, RTP, ACH, Zelle, and even $USDC on Solana using a single QR code.
During the demonstration, customers paid invoices by scanning a QR code, with USDC transactions settling within seconds and accounting software automatically updating payment status.
What stands out to me is the potential to connect traditional banking infrastructure with blockchain-based payments through one unified system.
If adoption grows, could this make stablecoins a more practical option for everyday business payments?
