#比特币突破8.2万美元
Oil prices fell back below $98 overnight, gold surged to $4,200, and Bitcoin followed to around $82,000 🛢️
In Asian trading on October 19, Brent crude fell nearly 1.7%, while WTI crude fell nearly 1.5%, breaking below both the $99 and $98 levels in succession. In after-hours trading it once plunged more than 1.2%. At the same time, New York gold futures broke above $4,200, spot gold rose 0.4%, and spot silver rose 0.6% 🥇

Bitcoin rose above $82,000, now at $82,378, up 0.97% over 24 hours, with a market cap of about $1.66 trillion. Ethereum was at $2,422, up 0.69%; SOL was at $104.77, up 1.18%; and nearly 93,000 people worldwide were liquidated 💥
US tech stocks were also rising in after-hours trading: SanDisk rose more than 3%, Micron more than 2%, Intel nearly 2%, and Nvidia and Corning more than 1%
Putting these three things together feels awkward: oil falling is cooling inflation, gold rising is buying insurance, and Bitcoin, caught in the middle, is up less than 1%. That shows it is now being treated neither as an inflation hedge nor as a pure risk asset, but rather as something moving with liquidity expectations
Diesel, on the other hand, rose nearly 1.5%; it is crude oil that is falling, not all energy costs. That point is easy to overlook
Over the past two weeks, net outflows from Bitcoin ETFs have been close to $1 billion, and the overall month-to-date flow in October is still negative. So today’s green candle looks more like a rebound from being oversold than a big wave of new money entering
Looking for the reason higher up, the Federal Reserve meeting on October 28 has the market pricing only a 15.5% chance of a 25-basis-point hike. In September, rates were already raised to 3.75% to 4.00%, the first time since July 2023. If oil keeps falling, the inflation story will loosen further, but gold making new highs suggests another group of money simply does not buy that story. They are hedging against something else
My view is that lower oil prices are good for crypto, but not enough. The real switch is whether oil can keep falling for a full week, and whether Waller on October 28 will repeat the line that AI capital spending is pushing up inflation. If one day oil falls and gold also falls, that would mean risk appetite has truly returned. Right now gold is still rising, which means the market is only changing posture, not direction
Over the next two days, watch three things: can oil hold above $98, can the gains in US stock futures last until the opening bell, and can Bitcoin stay above $82,000 instead of just briefly touching it. If two of the three are missing, this move is still just a range-bound fluctuation 🦖
Do you think this oil-price drop will send Bitcoin back to $85,000, or is it just a temporary bounce?
