$KAIA The gain is still showing 40%, but it has already given back the move from its peak.

On October 9, Upbit announced that it would add KRW, BTC, and USDT markets for KAIA. There’s now one more KRW trading option, so the channels for buying and selling have indeed changed.

At 01:23 Beijing time on October 10, KAIA perpetuals on Binance were still up about 40.9% over the past 24 hours, but the current price was about 17% below the high for that period. Trading volume over the same window was about $359 million. That’s the total value of repeated buying and selling—not new inflows.

I’m not convinced that adding a trading pair alone is enough to say Korean funds will keep buying. A new market creates an opportunity to trade, but whether the momentum continues depends on actual trading activity afterward. These figures are from Binance perpetuals; they don’t represent spot buying on Upbit, nor do they prove that the entire price gain was driven by this announcement.
