How could $XRP reach $100?
The realistic scenario, not the dream
The $100 dream for $XRP repeats very often, but is it possible mathematically? Answer: yes, but under extremely demanding conditions at the moment.
1. The market value dilemma
Today, the number of XRP coins in circulation is about 59 billion.
If the price reaches $100, the market cap would be:
59 billion × 100 = $5.9 trillion
That number is larger than the current combined market value of $BTC and $ETH, and larger than Apple and Microsoft combined. So reaching it in the current situation is impossible.
2. How does $100 become reasonable?
There are only 3 scenarios that make it reasonable:
First: a massive burn of the supply
Ripple has about 40 billion XRP in Escrow. If 80% of the supply were burned and only 10–15 billion coins remained, then the value of $100 would only become $1–$1.5 trillion—an achievable number in a strong bull market.
Second: XRP becomes the global payments system
XRP’s original goal is to be an alternative to the SWIFT system. SWIFT processes $5 trillion every day. If XRP captures just 10% of this market, and banks use it as a real bridge currency—not just RippleNet technology—then demand would be enormous and would justify a high price.
Third: complete settlement with the SEC and official U.S. adoption
The SEC case ended positively, at least in part, but to reach $100 we need more than that: the U.S. government must adopt it as a bridge currency for banks, and central banks must include it in their reserves.
3. The realistic path
Before we talk about $100, we need to go through these stages:
- break the all-time high of $3.84 and hold above it
- Reach $7–$10 in the next bull run
- then $20–$30 if there’s widespread adoption by banks
From $30 to $100, we need a crypto market worth $20–30 trillion, and this won’t happen before at least 2028–2030.
Summary
$100 isn’t technically impossible, but it’s impossible with the current supply and current market size. It requires massive burning + global bank adoption + a crypto market that exceeds $20 trillion. Without these three, any talk about $100 is just wishful thinking.
Invest in $XRP for its realistic targets of $5 and $10—not for the dream of $100.
