$BTTC Crypto app FomoPeek on the App Store concealed malicious code — $580K stolen
In the App Store, researchers found an app called FomoPeek that was marketed as a read-only tool for monitoring crypto wallets. Inside, there was malicious code capable of accessing other applications and users’ wallet data.
The wallet identified as belonging to the attacker received about $580,000 in cryptocurrency. This is a rare case where malware passed Apple’s moderation — the App Store is traditionally considered more secure than Android.
If you installed FomoPeek, you should immediately delete the app and check your wallets’ activity.
