The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, announced early this morning through his platform Truth Social that U.S. military forces have successfully carried out a large-scale operation in Venezuelan territory, resulting in the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

The Venezuelan government, prior to the confirmation of the capture, had denounced the events as a "serious military aggression" and a violation of its national sovereignty.
During the early hours of this Saturday, January 3, U.S. military forces bombed the military facility Fuerte Tiuna, in the capital of the country, as well as other facilities in the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.
A video of the Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, is circulating on social media, in which she claims they do not know the whereabouts of the Venezuelan president.
