Bitmine Immersion's ether holdings exceed 4K tokens in past week: Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) said Monday its ether (ETH-USD) holdings totaled 4.07M tokens at $2,991 apiece, or ~$12.2B, as of Dec. 21, 2025. That compares with 3.98M ETH at $3.074 per coin, or ~$12.2B, as of Dec. 14, 2025. "Bitmine continues to add steadily to its ETH holdings, adding 98,852 ETH in the past week, and Bitmine holdings now exceed the crucial 4 million ETH tokens. This is a tremendous milestone achieved after just 5.5 months," said Bitmine Chairman Thomas Lee of Fundstrat. Now, Bitmine (BMNR) owns 3.37% of the ETH token supply, two-thirds of the way to its 5% goal, up from over 3.2% in the earlier week. Trump administration considers giving Musk’s SpaceX 800 acres in Texas wildlife refuge: The Trump administration is considering giving nearly 800 acres of land in a federal wildlife refuge in Texas to SpaceX (SPACE), the rocket and satellite maker run by Elon Musk, according to documents reviewed by The New York Times. The company would use the land to expand its rocket launch and production site in Cameron County, Texas. In exchange, SpaceX (SPACE) would give the government hundreds of acres of its own property, some of which is about 20 miles from the refuge, the documents show. The proposed exchange, which has not previously been reported, has alarmed some conservationists and archaeologists, the report said. Hyperscale Data’s bitcoin holdings reach 514.97 BTC, exceeding 100% of market capitalization: Hyperscale Data (GPUS) Tuesday said that its Bitcoin treasury, including current holdings and cash allocated to committed purchases of Bitcoin, totaled approximately $76 million, based on the price of Bitcoin as of December 21. This amount represents ~100.75% of the company's market capitalization, based on the company's stock price at the close of trading on December 22, 2025. Japan's finance minister signals readiness for yen intervention: Japan has a "free hand" in dealing with the yen's (JPY:USD) recent depreciation, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama said on Tuesday, signaling Tokyo's readiness to intervene and address the currency's sharp decline. "I do not believe that the overall movements reflect the fundamentals at all," Katayama said in response to a reporter's question on the yen's decline. She said the government will respond to excessive movements, including speculative moves, adding that she has a "free hand." Hiroyuki Machida, director of Japan FX and commodities sales at ANZ, told Reuters that the yen's recent weakness reflects the government's reflationary fiscal policies and the Bank of Japan's still-easy monetary policy.
