Base Build: After the capacity upgrade of Base Chain,
the current block $Gas limit has been increased to 375 million Gas/block.
With the growth of activities, this means a burst capacity increase of about 25%, with average throughput improving by about 4% to 5%.
Additionally,
Base has raised the minimum base fee from 0.0002 gwei to 0.0005 gwei to enhance the functionality of the chain.
In the case of the minimum base fee, the cost of a typical transaction is less than one-tenth of a cent (0.01 USD).
Here are a few examples for a clearer understanding:
01 When you engage in DeFi during peak times, transactions can be confirmed faster, without waiting for half a day.
02 When an NFT project launches, it can handle more minting requests without getting stuck.
03 In gaming DApps, with increased throughput, multiple interactions can occur without disconnections.
Conversely:
01 If the upgrade hadn't occurred, the old chain would have low capacity, making transactions prone to failure during peak periods, like traffic jams.
02 If low fees hadn't been adjusted upwards, spam transactions would flood the system, causing the chain to slow down.
03 With insufficient capacity, innovative projects would be hesitant to launch on Base, fearing they couldn't handle the user load.
In summary: A major upgrade for Base Chain: capacity surges, transactions become smoother.
