💔 A Tragic Loss & a Disappointing Response
On December 14, 2025, legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were tragically found dead in their Brentwood home — both stabbed multiple times in what police are investigating as a homicide. Their son Nick Reiner was arrested and is facing murder charges. 
Rob Reiner was not only a cinematic icon behind classics like When Harry Met Sally and This Is Spinal Tap, but also a passionate voice for social issues. The world has lost an irreplaceable talent. 
Yet, instead of honoring their memory with dignity, President Trump responded to this devastating news with a political attack, suggesting — without any evidence — that Reiner’s outspoken criticism of him and so-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” were connected to the murders. His comments were widely condemned as insensitive and inappropriate by people across the political spectrum. 
Trump may be a powerful president — but a presidency doesn’t make a president respectful or compassionate.
