In Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the 37-year-old leader of the country, has enacted an innovative law that has generated significant international interest.

Confederation of the States of the Sahel: President Ibrahim TRAORÉ sends two emissaries to his Malian counterpart

(Bamako, December 5, 2025). A mission led by the President of the National Commission of the Confederation of the States of the Sahel (CN-AES) of Burkina Faso, Bassolma BAZIÉ, was received this Thursday, December 4, by the President of the Transition of Mali, His Excellency General of the Army Assimi GOÏTA, Acting President of the AES Confederation.

The Burkinabe emissaries carry a message from the President of Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, intended for his Malian counterpart.

According to Mr. BAZIÉ, this message forcefully expresses the brotherhood, solidarity, and commitment of Burkina Faso to the prominence of the Alliance of Sahel States.

This visit comes just days before the Summit of Heads of State of the Confederation and is part of the ongoing missions carried out by the National Commission of the AES to strengthen cooperation and unity within the Sahelian space.
