I revised work late into the night until my eyes felt sore. I put an iced Americano next to my computer, and when I looked back, $GUN had quietly squeezed into the ranking too.
If this coin can enter the top 30 today, I don’t think it’s just a simple “small rise.”
Right now, the spot price is around $0.0040. Over the past 24h, it’s ranged from $0.00364 to $0.0041. The swings aren’t small, but the close has been fairly steady.
What worries me more is that spot trading volume is only $1.18M, while the futures volume is already $3.70M—straight up 3.1x.
This kind of structure looks a lot like this: what truly pushes the heat up isn’t the people slowly buying spot. It’s the ones who take leverage first to test the sentiment.
The funding rate is only +0.0050%, which indicates the bulls are there, but not to the extent that it’s so crowded people’s scalps feel numb.
Open interest is posted at 463 million GUN—this is a bit subtle.
So it looks like someone is seriously placing bets in the arena, but the price hasn’t broken out into a particularly wild acceleration.
Honestly, this setup is the easiest to make people misread as “it hasn’t started yet,” and it’s also the easiest to whip you back and forth after you chase in.
My own take is that $GUN getting into the ranking today is more like a mood-flare within small-cap coins.
The spot volume isn’t that big, which suggests the real “receiving” depth is generally limited.
With futures being much hotter than spot, it suggests everyone wants to use short-term money to test things—it doesn’t really look like the kind of solid, trustworthy trend segment.
豆豆 just now was crouching on my keyboard. Even the cat looks more calm than I am 😂
So my attitude toward $GUN is to watch with caution—not chase.
If later it can keep topping up the spot volume little by little, then I’d look at it more seriously.
Otherwise, at this position, it’s pretty easy to look exciting but be exhausting to actually trade.
The market turns faster than flipping through a book. Keep some dry powder. $GUN #GUN
