🌹 Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception – December 8th Triumph 🕊️

GM, Binance Square family of faith! 🙏 Today, December 8th, the Church universal celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception – the glorious truth that Mary, by a singular privilege and grace of God, was preserved free from all stain of original sin from the first instant of her conception, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ. Proclaimed dogma in 1854 by Blessed Pius IX, this feast has been cherished since the earliest centuries, especially in the East as the “Conception of St. Anne.”

In the midst of Advent’s quiet longing, Mary appears as the flawless dawn, the spotless tabernacle prepared for the Word made flesh. Crowned with twelve stars, clothed with the sun, standing on the moon and crushing the serpent – she is the Woman of Genesis and Revelation, the new Eve whose “fiat” reversed the “no” of the fall.

Patroness of the United States, Brazil, Korea, and so many nations; protector of the unborn, the Church, and all who seek purity of heart – today we gaze upon her beauty and renew our own consecration.

Immaculate Heart Devotions for the Day:
- Total Consecration: Renew your consecration to Jesus through Mary (de Montfort’s prayer or your favorite formula).
- Holy Hour*: Spend time before the Blessed Sacrament thanking God for this singular grace.
- Rosary of the Seven Joys: Meditate on Mary’s purity with white or blue roses if you have them.
- Act of Reparation: Offer a small sacrifice for sins against life and purity.
- Quick grace: Walk outside, breathe deeply, and whisper “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception whispers: Begin anew – my Son makes all things pure.

📅 Ngày 5 tháng 12: Lễ tưởng niệm Thánh Sabbas Thánh thiện 🙏

Chúc mừng ngày lễ! Hôm nay, Giáo hội Công giáo vinh danh Thánh Sabbas (hoặc Sabas) Thánh thiện (439–532), một trong những vị cha vĩ đại nhất của đời sống tu trì ở Đất Thánh.

Sinh ra ở Cappadocia, ông đã bước vào đời sống tu trì khi 8 tuổi và sau đó trở thành một môn đệ của Thánh Euthymius vĩ đại. Tìm kiếm sự cô tịch lớn hơn, Sabbas sống như một ẩn sĩ trong sa mạc Judea, thu hút vô số môn đệ bằng sự thánh thiện và những phép lạ của mình.

Ở tuổi 45, ông đã sáng lập Đại Lavra nổi tiếng—được biết đến là Mar Saba—bám vào những vách đá của thung lũng Kidron giữa Jerusalem và Biển Chết. Tu viện này, vẫn hoạt động cho đến hôm nay dưới sự quản lý của các thầy tu Chính thống, đã trở thành một trung tâm tinh thần mạnh mẽ, sản sinh ra những vị thánh như Thánh Gioan Đamasxene và định hình các quy tắc tu trì phương Đông (Typikon của Thánh Sabbas vẫn được sử dụng trong nghi lễ Chính thống).

Ông đã bảo vệ chính thống giáo chống lại các dị giáo, khuyên bảo các hoàng đế và thực hiện nhiều phép lạ—như cầu nguyện cho mưa trong thời kỳ hạn hán và thuần hóa động vật hoang dã. Một hình mẫu thực sự của cầu nguyện khổ hạnh, im lặng và đời sống cộng đồng!

Trong mùa Vọng này, cầu mong Thánh Sabbas truyền cảm hứng cho chúng ta để tạo ra "thời gian sa mạc" cho cầu nguyện sâu sắc hơn. 🏜️✨
