$DOGE coin are you guys still holding it, believe it will reach $1?
Have you guys notice something. Elon Musk has not been talking about
#DOGE for a long time. Do you know the reason behind it? Let me tell you why…
Elon Musk hasn't completely abandoned Dogecoin, but he has significantly reduced direct public mentions of it. The core reasons are that he has explicitly stated he won't actively promote cryptocurrencies, and the payment integration expectations he previously hinted at haven't materialized in his companies' products.
🐕 Direct Mentions Have Nearly Stopped
Musk's last tweet directly mentioning Dogecoin was in November 2024, when he argued that Dogecoin's inflation mechanism was "a feature, not a bug". Since then, he hasn't posted any new content directly about DOGE for over a year. Although he occasionally likes or reposts related posts, his previous enthusiasm for "shilling" has noticeably cooled.
🚫 He Once Publicly Stated "Won't Promote Crypto"
In a 2024 interview, Musk explicitly stated: "I really won't promote cryptocurrencies anymore," and warned that if people see him "shilling" coins, it's likely an impersonation or fake video. He said he only sees some value in Bitcoin and has a "soft spot" for Dogecoin purely because he likes dogs and memes.
💰 Payment Integration Expectations Haven't Materialized
Previously, the crypto community most anticipated Dogecoin being integrated into X (formerly Twitter) payments. However, according to leaks from X's new payment feature "X Money," it only includes traditional banking functions like cards, deposits, and transfers, with no trace of Dogecoin or even any cryptocurrency. Additionally, the earlier "Tip Jar" feature only supported Bitcoin and Ethereum, not Dogecoin.
Simply put, Musk may still have a personal preference for Dogecoin, but as a public figure, he has clearly become more cautious.
So do you still want to hold
$DOGE ?
