A major legal turning point just happened for Arbitrum's governance structure. A federal judge in Manhattan (USA) officially modified the restraining notice, allowing Arbitrum DAO to vote on transferring about 30,766 #ETH (worth ~71 million USD) to the Aave protocol.
This is the frozen amount following the Kelp DAO protocol hack back in April. Previously, legal creditors (related to terrorist judgments targeting the Lazarus group) attempted to seize these funds, putting the DAO's voting delegates at significant legal risk.

A strategic tech move just dropped today: AmericanFortress has officially rolled out the Beta version of its compliant privacy infrastructure directly on Arbitrum.
Displaying full balances and transaction history in real-time has always been a hurdle that makes big funds and financial institutions wary of DeFi. This new infrastructure allows parties to trade through easily readable handles (@names), and the system will automatically generate stealth addresses to protect the recipient's privacy on-chain.

TVL (Total Value Locked): The network maintains a massive asset range from $16.6 billion to $20 billion, accounting for about 37% to 41% of the entire Ethereum Layer 2 market share. This figure far exceeds chasing competitors like Base (~$12 billion $USDC ) or Optimism (~$8 billion $USDC ).

On 05/19/2026, the 'Move-to-WASM' compiler launched. This is the most significant tech update in recent days. Arbitrum has officially released the Move-to-WASM compiler (developed by Rather Labs).
Why is it important? Previously, developers using the Move language often got stuck in the Aptos or Sui ecosystems. This compiler allows them to 'move' their Move code directly onto Arbitrum through the Stylus environment (running on WebAssembly) with almost no need to rewrite from scratch.
