I saw some friends heading to Turkey for IBW2026, so I wanted to share a little tool I made for friends traveling or on business trips. Before real-time translation on wearables becomes a thing, this is the smoothest cross-language communication method I've used:
1. Open triptalk.hellojimu.top
2. The homepage will have a QR code for the other person to scan with their camera
3. You both can chat in your native languages — you type in Chinese, and they'll see it in Turkish; they reply in Turkish, and you'll see it in Chinese.
When chatting about local food or cultural terms, the chat box will also automatically provide tips for those very local words. Since I whipped this up while traveling in Turkey, it defaults to bilingual Chinese and Turkish. Feel free to use it if you need! 👌
