🇵🇱 Poland has approved a law regulating the crypto market under MiCA
The Polish Parliament has backed a bill that designates the financial regulator KNF as the main authority overseeing the crypto industry in the country.
In light of the investigation into the Zondacrypto exchange, the regulator will gain the power to:
- block crypto wallets and bank accounts;
- suspend transactions;
- maintain a register of fraudulent crypto sites;
- impose fines and pursue unlicensed crypto services.
This decision came after the scandal surrounding Zondacrypto, where users reportedly can't withdraw funds totaling tens of millions of dollars.
