The Fabric Foundation Concept The core idea is that as robots (humanoids, delivery drones, etc.) become more autonomous, they need an independent way to participate in the economy. Currently, a robot is just an asset owned by a company. Fabric Foundation wants to turn them into autonomous economic actors. How robo Works The robo token (launched/active as of early 2026) serves as the "currency" and utility layer for this machine-to-machine economy: • Economic Identity: Every robot on the network is assigned a unique, on-chain identity (like a digital passport) and a crypto wallet. • Payments & Settlement: Robots use $ROBO to pay for their own maintenance, charging, or computational power. They can also earn robo by completing tasks for humans or other machines. • Proof of Work: To accept a job, a robot may be required to "stake" $ROBO as a security deposit. If the task is completed correctly, they receive their payment; if they fail or provide poor data, the stake is slashed. • Governance: Holders of the token can vote on the rules of the network and how the foundation's resources are allocated.
