Since October’s peak, Bitcoin is down 30%.

The altcoin market has been a clear blood zone, with many mid-caps down 50%–90%.

In total, the crypto market has erased more than $1.3T from its 2025 highs.

So what caused this? It's NOT crypto alone.

The latest sell-off followed renewed trade-war fears over Greenland dispute.

Trump’s threat of a 10% tariff on 8 European nations sparked a global flight to safety.

Investors are now rotating out of "Risk-On" assets and into Gold, which just hit a record of $4,880/oz.

While retail portfolios are bleeding, a new Bloomberg report shows the Trump Family gained $1.4B from crypto ventures.

Crypto now account for nearly 20% of their estimated $6.8B net worth.

This then raises an uncomfortable — but fair — question:

🟢 Over the past few days, profit-taking had been increasing. With yesterday’s correction, it declined slightly to around ~$516M, but it is once again dominating compared to realized losses.

🔴 Realized losses remain significant at around ~$346M. It is worth noting that they had been dominating since December, marking a true phase of capitulation.

This is a pattern we have seen repeatedly during each correction in this cycle. In fact, the current move strongly resembles the April correction.

We can also observe that realized profits and losses remain at very low levels, which has been the case during each correction.

👉 However, it remains difficult to determine whether this is still a correction or the early stages of a bear market.

For now, I still lean toward an intermediate correction or consolidation rather than a directional bear market, but I’m also prepared to adapt. Being overly confident isn’t necessarily the best approach; what really matters is the ability to adapt and be prepared to be wrong.
