High volume ≠ price movement
Today in the spot market: SOL moved 256.88M in volume and the price barely changed (+0.11%). BNB, with 95.11M, also didn’t move (+0.08%).
Meanwhile, SYN with just 54.55M in volume rose +18.06%.
This isn’t a coincidence. Assets with large capitalization and high liquidity (like SOL or BNB) need much higher volumes to move the price by the same percentage, because there’s more supply and demand absorbing each trade. Smaller-cap assets move with less money.
Practical takeaway: volume by itself tells you nothing about the direction or magnitude of price. You always need to look at it relative to the asset’s size, not as an isolated number.
