The principal’s account got banned. I’ll share what I know.

On the evening of the 20th, I came across a post from the principal saying that, to thank his followers, he’d give 1U or 3U to anyone who voted. I’m not sure what the exact criteria for getting 3U were.

During the day on the 21st, I joined the principal’s group. He said to add his assistant as a friend. My request wasn’t accepted until that evening. Around nine or ten that night, I saw a message saying to join the group on the assistant’s profile and post there. By then, the assistant had already set up another group.

A little after 1 a.m. on the 22nd, the assistant posted a message in the group on their profile. Around 2 a.m., they told everyone to start claiming their rewards at 8 a.m. by posting a screenshot.

Around 1 p.m. on the 22nd, people in the group were still discussing the whole thing. At that point, the principal said he’d send red packets for the remaining votes once voting ended. I posted my screenshot then and successfully got 1U.

Here’s my take on the whole thing: a small number of people did get 1U, and I was one of them. But I also got a real sense of what kind of person the principal is.

1. The rules for getting paid for voting kept changing. First it was 3U, then 1U, then claiming in order starting at 8 a.m. on the 22nd, and finally sending red packets after voting ended.

It gave me the impression that the principal never really intended to pay everyone. He wanted to pay some people so others would believe he’d actually follow through, and then get lots of people to vote—in other words, to scam people into voting.

The problem could have been easily solved: the assistant could verify the votes, make a group, and send a red packet to everyone. But if he wanted to spend as little as possible, he obviously wasn’t going to do that.

2. The principal seemed to decide who to pay based on who had value as an ally. After the group was set up on the evening of the 21st, I saw him give 1U to people who criticized him, while several people who had been voting and asking about the payment didn’t get anything. He kept putting them off for as long as he could. The same thing happened when I claimed my reward on the 22nd. Someone in the group was talking about it, and I took advantage of the commotion to post my screenshot and get 1U too. I only posted the picture and said nothing else, because I really had come to try to get something out of voting—and I did vote for three days. Seeing how the principal handled things made it clear he wasn’t genuinely planning to pay. I didn’t think it was worth wasting time arguing with him over 1U, so I figured I’d take it if I could, and let it go if I couldn’t.

To wrap up, I’m only describing what I saw and how I felt. I did get the 1U the principal gave me, so either way, I still want to say thanks to the principal.$BTC #BTC
