Ripple and Privy are teaming up to integrate wallets into XRPL and boost payments with AI agents.
Ripple took a key step toward lowering the barriers to entry into the crypto ecosystem through a strategic partnership with Privy, Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure firm.
The integration will allow financial application developers to embed XRP Ledger wallets directly within their platforms, making it possible for end users to transfer $XRP , the RLUSD stablecoin, and other assets without the friction of having to download external software, safeguard seed phrases, or manage private keys manually.
Beyond simplifying the experience for everyday users, the partnership places a strong focus on the machine economy and autonomous artificial intelligence agents. Through server-side architectures and programmable payment standards such as x402, AI bots can receive funds and automatically pay for data, APIs, and digital services on demand.
This dynamic is already an active engine on the network: according to RippleX data, transactions originating from AI agents exceed 14 million accumulated operations and account for nearly 25% of the total ledger activity, dominated by high-frequency, rapid micropayments.
From a technical and operational standpoint, the network maintains its fundamental consensus rules, so each new embedded account will continue to require the mandatory minimum reserve of 1 XRP for its initial activation, even if the wallet is intended exclusively for sending dollar-denominated stablecoins. With tools that allow users to export keys if they wish and plans to subsidize fees in the future, Ripple and Stripe aim to position the XRP Ledger as one of the preferred highways for connecting traditional banking and autonomous AI systems.
Do you think the integration of invisible wallets and automatic payments for AI agents will be the real XRPL catalyst?
