Putting money in a cold wallet and still watching $86 million evaporate—the suspected supply chain attack involving Ledger reseller CryptoBilis has rattled self-custody users.

Estimated losses of $72 million to $86 million are a huge shock, but looking at the charts, $BTC is still up 2.32% at $82,627.1 at the time of writing. The disconnect between the negative news and the price reaction suggests there are no signs of panic selling yet.

My take at this point: focus on managing your position, not guessing the top or bottom. $82,000 is the key immediate support level to hold. If $BTC absorbs this FUD and breaks out decisively, the next rally will be on much firmer footing. If it loses $82,000, the risk of a candle wiping out Long positions is very high. If you're trading futures, reduce leverage and set a stop loss before placing your order.
