On October 6, Travala (the crypto travel platform backed by Binance) announced that, in partnership with BNB Chain and Binance Pay, it had launched a native AI hotel-booking agent on the Travala platform: users can open the widget, top up USDT with any BNB Smart Chain (BSC) wallet address, and search and book hotels without any additional registration or installation.
The three parties have clear roles: Travala provides access to more than 2.2 million accommodation listings (covering about 230 countries and regions), and plans to add categories such as flights to the same agent later; Binance Pay handles settlement, with the process running through Permit2—users sign an EIP-712 authorization off-chain once, without broadcasting or paying gas fees; after the MPP SDK verifies the signature and allowance, Binance Pay pays the gas to complete the transfer and provides an on-chain encrypted receipt; BNB Chain provides the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) SDK, agent framework, and distribution capabilities. This agent is separate from Travala's existing Travel MCP and is another agent-based hotel-booking path for BNB Chain.
In terms of incentives, the first order over $400 completed through this agent can receive about 10% cashback: after check-in is completed, about 7% is credited to the payment wallet in $BNB ; if booked as an AVA Smart Member, an additional about 3% in $AVA can be earned. Travala CEO Juan Otero said the move connects AI agents and on-chain payments to the travel use case; BNB Chain CBO Thomas Chen emphasized that AI agents plus blockchain infrastructure are opening up new product forms that enable agents to complete transactions on behalf of users.
In the market, as of October 8 at 21:09 (UTC+8), Binance spot $BNB was about $759.2, down about 1.0% over 24 hours; $AVA was about $0.231, up about 3.8%; $BTC was about $82,429, down about 1.3%.
