How to trade contracts short-term today? Let’s talk framework.

Before price speaks, leverage should keep quiet.

Contracts only care about three sets of numbers. Everything else is noise.

1. BTC 83258, 24h 82787-85598, change -2.64%.
2. BTC open interest notional: $7.98 billion, 24h -2.39%
3. Account-wide long/short ratio: 1.69

My take: Funding at -0.0010% is near zero, and the long/short ratio is 1.69. Leverage hasn’t picked a side. If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to pick one for it.

Execution levels (based on current price ± structure, not an old chart):
- Momentum zone: Only consider chasing after price gets above 83,924. If it can’t hold above, it’s a false breakout.
- Buy the retest: 82,259-82,758; don’t buy if support gives way.
- No-trade zone: If the 1h candle closes below 81,759, skip this trade.

My position: I don’t try to catch the first knife. Until the drop is accompanied by a decline in open interest, any early entry is catching a falling knife.
