AMI Labs, founded by Yann LeCun, believes that recent incidents involving self-operating AI agents are mainly caused by human oversight and insufficient sandbox design, and that they could be prevented through technical improvements.

In an interview, LeCun said that AMI Labs currently has around 60 employees and is developing a world model for industrial applications based on the JEPA architecture.

AMI Labs’ first product is expected to launch “soon,” but there are currently no additional details about the release timing or the product’s scope.
