a new product called Ondo Intelligent Portfolios in collaboration with BlackRock.
The idea is that the investor (outside the US) buys a single token representing a complete investment portfolio designed by BlackRock, instead of buying stocks and funds themselves and rebalancing them. The first three portfolios:
BLKHIon: High income strategy
BLKDIGon: Diversified growth
BLKGRWon: High growth
The portfolios contain a mix of stocks, bonds, and spot Bitcoin ETFs. The token is tradable 24/7 and can be used in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications as collateral or transferred easily. Rebalancing is performed automatically through smart contracts.
** This is considered a major step because it’s the first time BlackRock’s strategies are being made available on-chain in this way.
