Hyundai Card completed a test of cross-border transfers between Hyundai Motor subsidiaries using stablecoins.
As part of the experiment, $20,000 was converted into “stablecoins,” sent from the US to Mexico, and then exchanged back into dollars— the entire process took about seven minutes instead of 3–4 hours. The project involved Tether, Avalanche, and payment infrastructure company Axiym.
