Altuve and his 2.519 hits: lessons for the Venezuelan P2P marketJosé Altuve finished the 2026 MLB season with 2.519 hits and made it into the Top 100 of batters with the most hits in the history of Major League Baseball, surpassing Joe Morgan, a member of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame. This is baseball news, without a doubt. But at PitbullChain we like to read numbers for what they teach: repetition, patience, and a goal mapped out years in advance. That’s what separates a well-organized operator from one who improvises in the Venezuelan P2P market.

UN, oil and sanctions: what the General Assembly stirs in Venezuela’s P2PThe high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly gets under way in New York with a menu packed with open conflicts: Iran, Gaza, Ukraine, Cuba and, of course, Venezuela. More oil, less parallel exchange rate? The impact of the oil restart on the P2P market## The new oil bet looking toward 2026 The U.S. Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, visited Caracas with a clear message: Venezuelan crude production can grow by up to 50% in the next 12 to 18 months. According to his projections, the country will surpass one and a half million barrels per day in the first half of next year, and could reach two million by the end of the decade. These remarks come in a context of recent agreements between Washington and Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), including Chevron’s entry into the Orinoco Belt and the controversy over North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP)’s involvement in 20% of proved reserves. For the U.S. government, these are simple business arrangements to develop resources; for many Venezuelans, they are a new example of interference.

The central proposal is to move forward with the decriminalization of several criminal offenses contained in that law and to correct what the Executive itself describes as deviations in its implementation. At PitbullChain we don’t do partisan politics: we do markets. Qatar knocks on the door of Venezuelan gas: P2P reading for your USDTThis week’s energy news comes from Doha: UCC Oil and Gas Holding, Qatar’s oil company, confirmed that it is in talks to move into new exploration and production areas in Venezuela. The statement was made by Erik Keskula, its Upstream Director, and comes just a month after the firm signed an association with BP and a subsidiary of the Emirati ADNOC for the gas development of the Loran field, in Venezuelan waters. 📊 What is known (and what is still not) The package is big: the license granted to BP contemplates exploiting more than four trillion cubic feet of gas in Loran, and tucked into that pie would be both XRG—the investment arm of the United Arab Emirates—and UCC Oil and Gas Holding of Qatar. This is not a memorandum of good intentions: there are participants with financial muscle, technology, and experience in liquefaction. What’s still not on the table are specific investment figures, timelines, or fiscal terms for the other areas that Qatar says it is evaluating.

Chevron bets US$7,000 million on Venezuela: what does it mean for the dollar and USDT?📊 From "country risk" to a portfolio priority For years, Venezuela was viewed by major oil companies as a risky destination, with fragile contracts and changing rules of the game. That narrative has just been shaken: Chevron’s CFO, Eimear Bonner, confirmed that the country has risen to the corporation’s top investment opportunities, after securing better contractual terms and additional blocks in the Orinoco Belt. The figure on the table isn’t small: a gross commitment of nearly US$7,000 million and a production target of 600,000 barrels per day within five years, with total costs that the executive herself places below $20 per barrel. In Bonner’s words, this bet would make it possible to unlock around 9,000 million barrels of commercial reserves over the same period.
