Adam Back's Dismissal of the Bitcoin #quantum Threat
Bitcoin's renowned developer and #Blockstream CEO, Adam Back, has firmly stated that Bitcoin's Taproot upgrade is sufficient to protect it from the threat of quantum computing.
In a recent Twitter response, Back said that Taproot was designed from the outset for this very purpose, and this upgrade has the capability to provide protection against quantum attacks. He said that even if a real quantum threat were to emerge, the Bitcoin network could simply disable "key-path spends."
#Back also stated that it has recently been confirmed that Taproot's tweak is secure against post-quantum attacks. Therefore, he believes that new proposals like BIP 360 are unnecessary and not required for Bitcoin.
He attributed the fear of quantum computing mostly to public misunderstanding, and stated that Bitcoin faces no real threat from it for the next 20 to 40 years. JAN3 CEO Samson Mow has also supported this view.
Various crypto experts are divided on this issue. Some agree with Back's view that Taproot is sufficient, while others want stronger post-quantum guarantees, even if it comes at the cost of losing some specific features of Taproot.

teacher who teaches me to build something more solid.
A Key Lesson: Look at joys and sorrows š, I realized
that going against the trend is like swimming against the current - you exhaust yourself without meaning. In the middle of a bullrun, going short is wanting to be more alive than the market, and life, with its infinite wisdom š, shows you that no one is more alive than all of us together.
