What this changes (trader lens):

Carry cost goes neutral → less incentive for “funding harvest” positioning.

Positioning can rebalance fast when the funding “gravity” disappears (crowded longs/shorts unwind differently).

Expect spreads + slippage risk to matter more than funding for a while (especially in thinner pre-IPO perps).

My playbook:

If you’re in size: reduce leverage, tighten invalidation, and plan exits assuming wider execution.

If you were only in for funding: re-evaluate edge—0% funding removes the main reason to stay.

Watch for the first non-zero funding print after resumption—often when volatility picks up.
