Zcash’s shielded supply has settled around 23% after climbing sharply earlier in 2025, a sign that adoption of its privacy features is holding steady even as excitement around the ZEC token itself has cooled. Importantly, users who started using shielded transactions have largely stuck with them instead of reverting back to transparent transfers.
The renewed focus on privacy isn’t limited to Zcash. Other privacy-oriented projects, including Monero, are also seeing increased attention and strong performance. As on-chain payments and stablecoin usage continue to expand, the trade-off between blockchain transparency and user privacy is becoming harder to ignore. This shift suggests that privacy-focused tools and protocols are likely to stay relevant well into 2026 and beyond.
