๐Ÿšจ CRYPTO SHOCK IN THE U.S.!

A new FINRA study reveals a sharp drop in investor interest in cryptocurrency among Americans ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ“‰

Even though the share of U.S. crypto investors has stayed at 27% from 2021 to 2024, the desire to buy more crypto โ€” or enter the market for the first time โ€” is falling fast:

๐Ÿ‘‰ In 2021: 33%

๐Ÿ‘‰ In 2024: just 26%

๐Ÿ’ค Young investors are also cooling down: those under 35 reduced high-risk behavior from 24% to 15%. Overall, the proportion of high-risk investors dropped from 12% to 8%.

Why?

๐Ÿ”ธ interest-rate uncertainty

๐Ÿ”ธ inflation pressure

๐Ÿ”ธ macroeconomic instability

Investors are shifting toward โ€œsaferโ€ assets ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

โ— The study highlights another key trend:

๐Ÿ“Š 66% of Americans now view crypto as a risky investment โ€” up from 58% in 2021.

But hereโ€™s the twist:

๐Ÿ”ฅ Half of investors under 35 still believe big risks are necessary to reach financial goals!

And thatโ€™s not all โ€”

13% of investors, including nearly one-third under 25, are actively buying meme stocks and viral assets ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ“‰ The inflow of new investors has also slowed:

2021 โ€” 21% were newcomers

2024 โ€” only 8% entered the market in the previous two years.

Bottom line:

๐Ÿ“Œ U.S. investors are becoming more cautious, but younger generations still live by the rule: โ€œHigh risk โ€” high reward.โ€ ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ
