๐จ CRYPTO SHOCK IN THE U.S.!
A new FINRA study reveals a sharp drop in investor interest in cryptocurrency among Americans ๐ณ๐
Even though the share of U.S. crypto investors has stayed at 27% from 2021 to 2024, the desire to buy more crypto โ or enter the market for the first time โ is falling fast:
๐ In 2021: 33%
๐ In 2024: just 26%
๐ค Young investors are also cooling down: those under 35 reduced high-risk behavior from 24% to 15%. Overall, the proportion of high-risk investors dropped from 12% to 8%.
Why?
๐ธ interest-rate uncertainty
๐ธ inflation pressure
๐ธ macroeconomic instability
Investors are shifting toward โsaferโ assets ๐ก๏ธ
โ The study highlights another key trend:
๐ 66% of Americans now view crypto as a risky investment โ up from 58% in 2021.
But hereโs the twist:
๐ฅ Half of investors under 35 still believe big risks are necessary to reach financial goals!
And thatโs not all โ
13% of investors, including nearly one-third under 25, are actively buying meme stocks and viral assets ๐๐
๐ The inflow of new investors has also slowed:
2021 โ 21% were newcomers
2024 โ only 8% entered the market in the previous two years.
Bottom line:
๐ U.S. investors are becoming more cautious, but younger generations still live by the rule: โHigh risk โ high reward.โ ๐ธ๐ฅ
