What if there is a flood, fire, or earthquake? Ground networks get destroyed. Starlink does not.

Elon even provides free internet during disasters because when the grid fails, they do not.

Rural India, where fiber fears to tread and cell towers rarely reach, is precisely where Starlink shines.

Elon:

"It's not about competing with the networks in cities, but about reaching those who have been forgotten by everyone."

So no, Starlink will not compete with your city’s 5G. But for that 2% of citizens who are in fiber dead zones and the 98% of rural areas that are starved for buffering wheels, salvation is coming from above.
