Recently, a maliciously edited chat screenshot has circulated online, claiming 'accounts were banned by Binance for participating in the Alpha event by modifying local time and were required to repay'.
We have located the user account based on the description and confirmed that the message is completely false.
📌 Binance has never banned accounts for 'modifying local time on the phone', nor has there ever been a request for repayment due to this.
🕵️ The truth is here
1️⃣ Early vulnerability: indeed exists, but will not lead to a ban
This vulnerability allows users to light up the claim button early by 'adjusting the local time on their phone'.
✅ We strengthened checks and restrictions as soon as June.
✅ Even if the button lights up early, the actual claiming action can only be submitted to the server after the event officially starts.
✅ We have never banned any users due to this vulnerability.
2️⃣ What is the current anti-cheat mechanism like?
The current risk control system has been fully upgraded, and there will be bans for behaviors including but not limited to the following methods when claiming:
🚫 Using scripts, programs, crawlers, and other technical means
🚫 Sending a request to the server to claim in advance (before the event starts)
These actions will be recognized by the system as deliberate cheating in race-running, which is why they will be banned.
In other words:
🔹 Adjusting phone time = cannot claim early, and will not trigger a ban
🔹 Script requesting the interface in advance = clear cheating, will be strictly dealt with
🔍 Please do not be misled by screenshot rumors
The images disseminated by this user are fabricated and seriously mislead others.
All punishment cases by Binance are based on clear technical cheating evidence, and there will never be arbitrary bans or repayment requests.
