According to Asahi Shimbun, Tokyo police arrested Hu Xiaowei (Hu Shi), a senior figure allegedly tied to Cambodia-based Prince Group, one of Asia’s largest transnational scam networks. U.S. authorities previously sanctioned Prince Group and 146 related entities for alleged involvement in online investment fraud and pig-butchering scams. Hu was arrested over a false residency registration filing as Japanese authorities investigate his activities and the group’s operations in Japan.
