À cette époque, le Bitcoin ne valait presque rien :
• 1 $BTC coûtait environ entre 0,003 et 0,004 dollar.
Ainsi, 10 000 BTC représentaient seulement environ 40 dollars.
Trois jours après la publication de son message, aucune réaction… C’est alors qu’il revient en disant
" Alors, personne ne veut m’acheter des pizzas ? Le montant de bitcoins que je propose est-il trop bas ? "
Puis le 22 mai 2010, un jeune Britannique nommé Jeremy Sturdivant accepte finalement l’offre.
Il commande deux grandes pizzas chez Papa John’s (une pizzeria de la place), livrées chez Laszlo en Floride.
En échange, Laszlo lui envoie 10 000 BTC 😖
Ce fut la toute première transaction Bitcoin de l’histoire pour l’achat d’un bien physique.
Et C’est d’ailleurs la raison pour laquelle chaque 22 mai est célébré comme le #bitcoinpizzaday , en l’honneur de cette première transaction en Bitcoin.
