Layer 1 tokens are having a time. Bitcoin is still the leader in 2025. The Layer 1 tokens face a lot of challenges. They have to work hard to catch up with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the best, in 2025. The Layer 1 tokens have to do something to beat Bitcoin.
In the year 2025 a lot of Layer 1 and Layer 2 tokens had a drop in the number of people using them and their value.. Bitcoin and Ethereum were still doing well. Solana had the drop it lost more than 60 percent of its users. On the hand BNB Chain almost had three times more users. The people who made Stablecoins and the exchanges that dealt with derivatives made a lot of money which shows that people are now more interested in things that have economic value rather, than just speculating. The people who made things for Bitcoin and other ecosystems were still very active. The tokens that did not have a clear way to make money or get people to use them fell behind. Layer 1 and Layer 2 tokens that did not do well had a time. People who know a lot about this stuff are saying that generic infrastructure tokens might go down more in 2026.. Platforms that are actually useful will still be popular. Infrastructure tokens that do not do much will not be as good, as platforms that have uses. Infrastructure tokens are not looking good now.
