Arthur Hayes Warns of a Major Altcoin Wipeout
Speaking at Conference 2026, Arthur Hayes said he believes 99% of altcoins could eventually fall to zero, comparing the shakeout to the ongoing turnover seen in the S&P 500, where most names don’t stay dominant forever. He added that a wave of failures among smaller tokens wouldn’t mean crypto is finished—it would simply be part of the market maturing.
